Dick and Beatriz Tafur serve in their community in a number of different ways – evangelizing indigenous tribes in villages of the Amazon River basin (as well as construction projects and medical clinics), an outreach to elderly Peruvians, children’s ministry in poor neighborhoods in Pucallpa, and serving local volunteer firefighters.

  • Service and giving opportunity – November 1-9, we will travel to Perú for home repairs with Dick and Beatriz, and their miracle daughter Dorothy . Dick and Beatriz evangelize and equip believers throughout the Amazon River basin near Pucallpa, Perú, reaching many indigenous peoples.

AND in the Andes mountain region outside Cusco, we partner with Marcelina Huaman Chavez. She is an indigenous Quechuan pastor in Tinta, and has planted many churches throughout the province.

  • Ministry highlight – In August 2023, an Impact Adventure service team helped Marcelina begin the construction of a worship center for her church in Tinta, Perú. This project was completed in spring of 2024.

Disaster Relief and Community Care in Puerto Rico

Our partnership in Puerto Rico serves alongside local churches and municipalities to impact many residents on the island. Two of the cities we partner with are Cayey and Salinas. Many of the residents we serve in these municipalities are elderly, with no family to offer support. The damage of recent natural disasters like Hurricane Maria 2017 and Hurricane Fiona 2022 have left many homes in need of repairs – projects that these poor residents are unable to afford on their own. Even if they have some finances to purchase materials, the residents are not physically able to perform the work and may lack the funds to pay for labor.

  • Ministry highlight – Impact Adventure has directed over 5000 participants in Puerto Rico.
These volunteers come from a variety of churches in the USA. These teams focused on disasterrelief efforts, building and repairing homes damaged by hurricanes, children’s outreach, sports clinics, and many other activities and projects.

Education and Community Care in Baja California Sur,

Location – Mexico

In Baja, we serve with a local churches and community leaders that serve their community of Mexican nationals in Pescadero. Low middle class / poor neighborhood. We have worked alongside these churches for a number of years. Humble, godly leaders who we serve with during the week.

  • Ministry highlight – in February / March 2024, Impact Adventure coordinated the construction of a primary school in the San Simon, Pescadero. This wood-framed 24’ x 32’ building replaced a school area that consisted of tarps and pallets. This new school in now one of the best structures in the neighborhood, and offers the children of San Simon a clean and safe place to learn.

Veteran and Public Servant Care in Anchorage, AK

This partnership is a unique opportunity to encourage and serve with The 98 Fund, an organization dedicated to helping Gold Star Families – those who have lost a loved one in military conflicts.

  • Ministry highlights – Impact Adventure has organized 6 different teams to serve with The 98 Fund, building multiple cabins, kitchen / dining facility, showers and other structures. These building projects further The 98 Fund’s mission to host and encourage families who have lost a loved in military service.

We are seeking to raise $3000 a month to be able to continue this amazing ministry .
  • Bringing a team to participate in the ministries in-country?
You will be able to see and experience impact first hand.
  • Giving to a specific project?
Currently, we need $1500 for the Peru projects and $5000 to build bathrooms for a rural school in Baja, Mexico.
