IMPACT ADVENTURE BY MAZATLAN MISSIONS
Mazatlán Missions, founded in 1997, exists to bring together friends, families, communities, schools and organizations in the United States and Latin America, for the purpose of mutual encouragement, community service, and physical, social and spiritual development. Impact Adventure is the short-term sending arm of Mazatlán Missions. Mazatlán Missions is recognized by the IRS as a non-profit 501(c)(3) entity, registered in Colorado.
We impact lives and communities, as we serve alongside global partners with short term volunteers on holistic projects, and are transformed through unique cultural experiences. We coordinate short-term service trips (usually 7-14 days) alongside local leaders to accomplish projects that impact communities. Impact refers to the tangible improvement of living standards, community life, education, economic opportunity, health, and spiritual development. Adventure refers to building relationships with local people and experiencing the culture in our many destinations.

Partners: Empower Local Leadership
We partner with local impact leaders, key people and organizations based in many destinations. We serve alongside individuals and entities that are already making a positive impact in their local communities. We cultivate relationships with local leaders, listen to and implement the vision(s) of these naturally-connected leaders of the community. One of our guiding principles is to display mutual respect and encouragement – we come alongside and labor with those who know their communities best.
Projects: Impact through Development
We support ongoing projects that are designed to address social issues. Alongside local impact leaders, we create community development strategies that pursue small enterprise to generate revenue, and coordinate anchor projects in each destination. These anchor projects involve our short-term volunteers and their resources, and positively impact the local communities where we serve.
Destination TOURS: Engage in Service Learning
We believe that when people engage with people outside their own culture, across borders and in different socio-economic strata, this interaction can lead to a positive, transformative change in perspective and understanding. We foster short-term service and cultural experiences for individuals and groups. Natural, historical, and cultural adventures for short-term participants lead to long-term relationships and expand understanding.
