Be a part of providing wheelchairs for children near and around Ciego de Avila, Cuba. Our aim is to send 275 wheelchairs. Trained wheelchair seating therapists will adjust a chair to the needs of each child on-site to ensure that the chair will provide mobility in a way that is physically healthy. From our experience in the first trip, this dual focus on the physical and spiritual needs was welcomed and effective at providing freedom to these families. Each wheelchair costs about $300 to manufacture, ship and have it fitted to the child on-site. [5 wheelchairs = $1,500; 10 wheelchairs = $3,000; 20 wheelchairs = $6,000]
